Dallas Cowboys Deliver Massive Digital Billboard

The Dallas Cowboys new stadium has been years in the making. With the cost of the project ballooning beyond $1 Billion, its no surprise that the Cowboys faithful have dubbed the stadium "Jerry World," in honor of mercurial team owner Jerry Jones.

The stadium was developed according to Jones' goal of delivering a fan experience that could not be found anywhere else. Jones believes that the stadium's architectural design and unique attributes hearken back to the majesty of the Colosseum of Rome.

The stadium is one of the largest and most technologically advanced structures ever built. Representative of its grandeur, the stadium boasts the world's largest HD digital billboard. It embodies the pomp and circumstance that Jones desires to bring to each and every one of his team's games. The structure is both imposing and breathtaking.

The four-sided, center-hung digital billboard array, a first for an NFL stadium, consists of four video displays, with the two main sideline displays measuring 72 feet high by 160 feet wide, and two end-zone displays measuring 29 feet high by 51 feet wide. Weighing 600 tons, the screens will be suspended 90 feet directly over the center of the playing surface and stretch from nearly one 20-yard line to the other.

By the numbers
- 600 tons: the weight of the video board
- 90 feet: how high the board is above the football field
- 635 kilowatts: power used by each sideline display
- 4,920: number of 52-inch flat-panel televisions the board’s area is equal to

The structure is sure to captivate all in attendance. Having delayed the construction of a new stadium for years, Jones has succeeded in his promise of delivering an awe-inspiring destination.

"The ability to look and see the sweat and see the color of our players’ eyes and see what’s going on the board is going to be quite an experience," Jones said.
